You’ll find composting toilets, urinals, and heated rainwater showers just a short walk away in private facilities nearby.
To have minimal impact on the environment and potential run off that could damage the coral, we have avoided flushing toilets. The island has four eco-friendly composting toilets and ten urinals near the cabanas.
All of the pathways have red LED lights to lead the way to the cabanas, showers (two separate locations with four stalls each), and toilets.
This is so as not to affect the nesting turtles, as several lay on the island before and during the tourism season.
Groups can request to be roomed together, or adjacent to one another. Several of the beachfront cabanas have a shared veranda, and some have two rooms. These are best for families with younger children. For solo travelers, there is no surcharge and we guarantee your own cabana. Each Belize beachfront cabana offers one Queen orthopedic bed and features a spacious porch with hammocks and lounge chairs. You can relax, soak up the ocean breeze, and enjoy panoramic views of the turquoise waters. The ever-present breeze from the sea keeps temperatures comfortable and the bugs away, eliminating the need for air-conditioning or netting.
